CAREKennels Materials
CAREKennels are built from Waterproof Construction Board (WCB) – a patented composite material that represents a genuine step forward in kennel design.
Unlike stainless steel, which gradually corrodes and develops microscopic pits after repeated disinfection, WCB is a seamless, non-porous alternative that eliminates the possibility of biofilms entirely.
This 100% waterproof material also features built-in silver ion technology for passive antimicrobial protection around the clock.
Every CAREKennel is manufactured from a single piece of WCB with no joins, welds or exposed edges, eliminating common areas for pathogen build-up. Its closed-cell PVC-U foam core and solid PVC outer skin are completely waterproof and impervious to liquids.

WCB incorporates silver ion antibacterial technology built into every sheet. It provides continuous 99.99% antibacterial protection against pathogens including MRSA and E. coli, independent of cleaning cycles.
Chemicalresistant
WCB is unaffected by clinical-grade disinfectants. The surface does not corrode, pit or discolour with repeated use, maintaining the same performance and integrity throughout its lifespan.
Thermallystable
WCB maintains ambient warmth rather than the cold surface temperature associated with stainless steel. This is particularly relevant for cats, whose paw pads contain a high concentration of nerve receptors sensitive to temperature.
