BEHIND THE NAME THERIAN

The meaning behind the name Therian comes from an ancient Greek saying Philotherianism, which translates to “For the love of animals”.  All of the staff at Therian are passionate about the environments we design for animals and our products which protect them.

Gavin Biggs
Gavin BiggsChief Executive Officer
Gavin has a passion for human and animal movement that showcases itself in dynamic and engaging animal facility design. Gavin travels extensively to ensure that he is abreast of all the latest ideas in animal care. Since 2006, he has been heavily involved in designing and project managing many animal facilities. Gavin see’s his success as the success of his clients and the long term relationships that have prevailed past the projects completion dates.
Bryan King
Bryan KingDesign Manager / Lead Architect
Bryan is an architect with a wealth of experience spanning over 15 years designing veterinary hospitals, clinics, pet resorts, animal shelters and pounds primarily in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Jane Wright
Jane WrightPersonal Assistant
Jane joined the Therian team as Personal Assistant to Gavin in 2014 with an extensive amount of experience in accounts, administration and office management plus a wholehearted love of animals and supporting the team.
Diana Arce
Diana ArceArchitectural Technician II
Diana is a building designer fascinated by 3D modelling & design. Her skillset developed across residential and commercial buildings. Diana helps the design team across every aspect of the design process, from creating new families (blocks) to production of high standard plans
Simon Hurcombe

Architectural technician with 7 years of experience in the industry and a Bachelor of Architecture, upon joining Therian in 2015 has focused on design and construction management of a range of animal facilities types across Australia.
Rene Larsen

Innovative architectural technician with over twenty eight years of experience in the architectural and construction industry spanning from residential, multi-residential, hospital, commercial and high rise. Rene has been with Therian since 2016 specialising in the industry of animal welfare.
Nick Kuskoff
Nick KuskoffArchitectural Technician II
Nick started working life on construction sites, on the tools for 15 years. Attaining his Architectural Technology Diploma over 20 years ago, has designed/drawn a wide variety of building types & fitouts.
Kelly Biggs
Kelly BiggsMarketing Manager
Kelly has been with the firm since it first opened its doors. These days she concentrates on Marketing for the firm, organising all trade shows and promotional advertisments. A background in Retail management and Office Administration coupled with a passion for interior design. Kelly oversaw the renovations of our new office at Ashmore and loves to welcome clients in. She firmly believes that good design influences our daily life and enhances our experiences
Natasha Kirk
Natasha KirkProject Support Officer
Natasha joined the Therian team in 2014 bringing her extensive office support and administration experience, and has progressed to become the Project Support Officer for our Design team. Natasha provides vital administrative and organisational support to the Design office.

Paula joined Therian in 2016 to become an integral part of the Client Services team. Paula has an extensive amount of experience in administration, marketing and customer service and enjoys assisting our clients to fulfil their product needs.
Tamara Lowe

Tamara joined the team as a Purchasing and Administration Officer in late 2016 with extensive experience in Accounts, Logistics and Administration. Tamara is an integral part of the Therian product team.

Grace joined the Therian Administration team in 2017. Over 5 years of retail experience, she provides a vast understanding in sales and customer service for our Therian clients.
